Sash:
Made of red waxed leather covered with a wide silver galloon (width 6.8 cm) with a gold thread cartridge identifying the Luxembourg company. Gilt brass fittings depicting a royal crown connected to the face of the sun on a background of radiant sun with three chains and pins. Adjustment strap in silver metal.
Giberne box:
Box made of wood covered with black varnished leather with silver-plated brass sides. At the top of the two sides, a ring allows the attachment of the sash for service on horseback.
Black varnished leather strap cut in a height of 11 cm, 17.8 cm wide at the bottom, and 15.5 cm wide at the top in a brace shape. It is bordered by a silvered copper rod decorated with lines. In its center, a silvered copper motif representing the face of the sun on a radiant background is fastened. At the back, a black varnished leather tab is sewn.
At the back of the box, a calling card is glued bearing the mention (partly handwritten): "A cartridge box with its strap model of the King's Household Guards of Louis 18 and Charles X offered to Mr. Léon Rayer by Commander Souchet, Squadron Leader of the gendarmerie, retired since 1856, Tours on April 15, 1886. Signed Souchet, 5 rue Colbert, Tours."
