Four-branched guard in gilded brass, main branch undecorated fixed to the pommel, the three secondary branches united and decorated at the bottom with a cinquefoil ending in an acanthus leaf and at the top with an acanthus leaf emerging from a common stem for the three branches. Guard plate with a protruding edge, without a quillon but ending in a fleur-de-lis shaped pommel and numbered below "207" (guard's number). Wooden handle, wrapped in calf skin and copper wire filigree. Scarlet cloth ribbon.
Curved blade with hollow and guttered edges, the obverse side engraved with the phrase "GARDES / DU / CORPS / DE / MONSIEUR" framed at the top and bottom by a fleur-de-lis and near the heel by a military trophy. The other side is engraved with the Arms of Monsieur, a military trophy near the heel, and above, the face of the Sun on a background of rays. Signed on the back "Manufre Royale du Klingenthal Coulaux frères." Length 93 cm.
Steel scabbard with steel mouthpiece, brass girth bands, rings, and suspension loops; the girth bands are plain and framed by a simple raised molding (H 1.4 cm). Numbered on the back "151" and signed at the back "Manceaux." Steel drag shaped like an ovoid button.
