Entirely gilt bronze hilt. Keyboard decorated with the Arms of France on a bundle of standards. Guard branch decorated with laurel leaves and fleur-de-lis. Double straight guard bar with a hilt decorated with a sanded shield. Pommel shaped like an ancient plumed helmet. Ferrule stamped with a row of fleur-de-lis. Wooden handle entirely filigreed with gilt brass. Triangular blade, length 82.5 cm, engraved and gilded on its first third with military trophies and floral decorations against a blued background. Scarlet cloth tie. Black varnished leather scabbard with two gilded brass fittings engraved with foliage, button for wearing on the belt in the shape of a fleur-de-lis shield.
