Gilt bronze hilt marked "MANCEAUX A PARIS" beneath the quillon. Guard with three branches decorated with laurel leaves. Short-tailed pommel. Grip wrapped in black waxed calfskin, copper wire filigree. Curved blade with hollowed edges, length 97 cm, signed on the back "Manufre Rale de de Klingentale Nov 1822", marked "L" for F.L. Lobstein, 2nd class controller from July 1821 to March 1829, "B" surrounded by a chain from J.G. Bick, 1st class controller from May 1815 to August 1824, and a starred "M" in a laurel wreath from A. Mancel, inspector then director from March 1822 to March 1823. Steel scabbard with two suspension rings, signed at the top "MANCEAUX A PARIS", protruding mouthpiece.
Senior officer's sword knot for undress uniform. Black silk cord, tassel in gold threads with thick twists, known as "spinach seeds".
