GRAND CROSS PLAQUE OF THE ORDER OF THE WORK OF THE VETERAN SOLDIERS, 1900. 26419

Silver-plated metal plaque representing an eight-pointed star, entirely worked with diamond tips. Diameter 8.3 cm. The center features a star in gilded metal and enamel with four double-pointed rays, enameled in white, framed by a branch of light green enameled laurel leaves. The obverse center presents two crossed French flags bordered by a blue enamel strip with the inscription in gold letters "WORK OF THE VETERAN SOLDIERS 1900."

The Work of the Veteran Soldiers is a social and philanthropic association of former military personnel, founded in 1900. The cross is awarded for merit and for long and devoted services rendered to the Association.
