Octagonal barrel then rounded breech stamped with "B" under a palmette for Antoine Blachon, inspector in St Etienne from 1798 to 1812, 20.9 cm in length, 24.1 cm with the tail of the breech. Breech marked "Mle An 9". Wooden grip with a long stock, butt marked "CII 128". All fittings stamped with a "G" under a star for Joseph Guichard, inspector in St Etienne, 1793-1802.
Flintlock mechanism signed "Mre Nle de St Etienne," with a "S" stamp under a sun for inspector Claude Soviche, 1797-1807.
