Round barrel with side flats at the breech, stamped with a fleur-de-lis under a crown and two interlaced L's, and under the barrel the initials "EL" and "L" with a crown belonging to the controller Etienne Lallier, who was in charge of checking barrels in St Étienne from 1772 to 1778. Barrel length 22.8 cm, length with breech tang 28.2 cm. Breech tang dated "1775." Walnut stock with a long butt. All fittings in brass. Flintlock signed "Manufacture de St Etienne" with "HR" crowned punch of Hubert Rozier, controller in St Étienne from 1774 to 1777. Iron ramrod with a nail-shaped head.
