OFFICER'S SWORD BELT OF THE GRENADIERS ON HORSEBACK OF THE ROYAL GUARD, 1816-1830, Restoration Period. 30115
Silver-plated brass plate with a large silver-plated copper fleur-de-lis in the center (secured by 4 staples) flanked by two golden brass laurel branches (fixed by 8 staples), this plate is bordered by a gilt brass molding stamped with a series of fleur-de-lis. The slightly curved plate is soldered with a hook and a two-pronged buckle at the back.
Dimensions: Plate height 8.6 cm x 9.1 cm wide without the curve, 10.5 cm wide with the curve.
Burgundy waxed leather sword belt covered with a silver braid with five scarlet silk stripes. Width 7.5 cm. Silver-plated brass buckles. Complete with its two sword suspension straps, each 3 cm wide.

Restoration Period.
Good condition, partial loss of silver plating on the fleur-de-lis of the plate. Belt shows signs of wear, leather with some stains, and the braid with usual oxidation.
