FIREMEN'S HELMET OF THE CITY OF TOURS, type 1885, Third Republic. 24513
Helmet made entirely of brass. Crest with prominent mouldings decorated at the front with a grenade with four small ventilation holes, fixed by means of eight screws. Front plate in embossed brass depicting a shield with the coat of arms of the City of Tours (sable with three crenellated towers of silver covered and weathervanes of gules on a chief sewn of azure with three fleurs-de-lis of gold) type 1826, topped with the city crown and framed by oak and laurel branches, ribbon bearing the inscription "SAPEURS POMPIERS DE TOURS" (Firemen of Tours). Interior lining in black varnished leather with five leather fingers.

Good condition, some dents on the shell and on the crest mask, missing chin strap, interior lining in poor condition with one leather finger missing.
