FIREFIGHTER HELMET FROM THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAINT LOUP DE VARENNES, 1923 type, Third Republic. 24514

Entirely made of brass. Spherical crown bordered at the bottom with a prominent bead. Visor and neck guard welded to the crown at the lower part, folded over themselves to form a rim. Second type crest with internal fixing screws to the crown, adorned with a flaming bomb on the crest, front plate featuring a coat of arms with a flaming grenade, topped with a crown and a ribbon bearing the inscription "FIREFIGHTERS St LOUP DE VARENNES" framed by oak and laurel branches. Model without a plume holder. Chinstrap in brown leather with steel buckles. Interior lining in black waxed leather cut in eight wolf teeth.
