We, the undersigned First Class Veterinary Artists of the Artillery Train, certify that Mr. Hyppolite Lemaire, Second Lieutenant in the 1st Battalion of the same regiment, has practiced the veterinary art in the armies for a period of seven years prior to his officer appointment. We further certify that his zeal and accuracy in practicing this art have always been rewarded with success.

"The Squadron Commander of the 1st Battalion Company of the Artillery Train certifies that the above signatures are those of Messrs.
