The Chief Surgeon, on the order of His Excellency the Marshal, Duke of Dalmatia, Lieutenant General of the Emperor, Commander-in-Chief of His Majesty's Armies in Spain, informs Mr. MARTIN, Assistant Chief Surgeon, that he is designated to fulfill the duties of Chief Surgeon of the 64th Line Regiment.
"You are kindly requested to report without delay to the post assigned to you, and to notify me of the date of your assumption of duties [...].

BIOGRAPHY:
*Philippe-Gaëtan Mathieu de Faviers, Baron Mathieu de Faviers (December 11, 1761, Strasbourg - March 29, 1833, Paris), was a French military administrator and politician.
MATHIEU Philippe Gaëtan signed "MATHIEU-FAVIERS.
[...] After the Peace of Tilsit, he went to Spain on October 4, 1810, holding the title of General Intendant of the Army of the South of Spain, and, upon the Emperor's orders, as notified by the Major General, he was recalled to the Grand Army as the Chief Auditor on August 30, 1811.
