Hussar Officer's Saber, Revolution.

Brass hilt with a single Hungarian style branch. Ears decorated with raised moldings. Faceted straight quillon. Cap with a long tail decorated with raised moldings. Wooden grip covered in black waxed calfskin, copper wire filigree. Slightly curved blade with hollow edges, length 77.5 cm, engraved on both sides in golden letters "VAINCRE OU MOURIR" on a blued background. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with two large brass fittings decorated with lines and scalloped edges, connected by two lateral brass bands, tip of the scabbard finished with a steel blade.
