Sabre entirely made of brass with a leather scabbard, the model of which was created in 1804 by the sword cutler DUC. Guard with a single pierced branch, outer ear shaped like a shield engraved with an anchor, the guard branch ends in a ball quillon. The crossguard is pierced underneath. Cap with a short tail. Wooden handle covered with leather with braided filigree in brass. "DUC" stamps struck on the quillon. Curved blade with hollow flutes from Klingenthal, 69 cm long with a strong pointed bevel. Hollow flutes are engraved on each side with "GARDE IMPÉRIALE" in large cursive letters within a rope cartouche, anchor and palmettes, back with a ridge. Black waxed leather scabbard, three brass fittings, chape, central bracelet, brass-tipped end, brass rings. Brass ring rivets for the shoulder straps.
