Silver hilt. Guard with a branch decorated with a flower and laurel branches. Double-shell guard with raised and decorated edges. Silver hallmark "Rooster 1", Paris 1809-1819, on the right side and "C" hallmark and silversmith hallmark "LG" Gautier. Oval pommel decorated with the Arms of France surrounded by laurel branches. Handle fully filigreed in silver, vertically chiseled silver ferrules. Straight blade with a flat back and hollow edges, engraved, gilded at the third, marked on one side in a cartouche "LONG LIVE THE KING" and engraved at the heel "Coulaux Brothers"; on the other side, three fleur-de-lis, palmettes, and "Manufre Royale de Klingenthal", all on a blued background on each side. Length 82.2 cm. Scarlet wool tie. Wooden scabbard covered in black waxed leather with two silver fittings decorated with lines, chape with oval button decorated with a fleur-de-lis for the belt wearing and engraved at the back "Given by the King / to Mr / Bellanger Fcois", scabbard tip with a point.

Very good condition, guard detached from the hilt hence some play, leather scabbard with some scratches.
