Brass hilt. Guard with a single branch stamped with a cockerel (stamp for Revolutionary productions from 1793). Cap with a long tail. Wooden handle covered in black waxed calfskin with brass filigree.
Curved blade with hollowed edges, length 80.5 cm, width at the guard 3.7 cm, engraved on one side "Répe" (Republic) and on the other "Franse" (French). Stamped at the guard with "B" under a crown by F. Bich, first-class controller until 1791, the letters "MK" in an oval framed by a chain, a manufacturer's stamp for the Klingenthal Manufacture in use from 1792 to 1798, and a bundle of lictors indicating acceptance, created by the War Administration in 1793, it applies to all white weapon productions on behalf of the State until 1798-1799; engraved on the back "KLINGENTHAL".
Wooden scabbard covered in black waxed leather with two large brass fittings, brass belt loops and steel rings, secured to the wood by two iron clips. Steel blade tip. Cap with a cup cavity. Comes with its leather laced forage cord.
