SWORD OF COURT IN SILVER, Reign of Louis XV, 1748. 30076
Silver hilt with hallmarks. Guard, quillon, knuckle guard, pommel, and grip decorated with vertical relief moldings arranged in a spiral. Quillon with rings. Bivalve knuckle guard. Round pommel. Monobloc grip with relief ferrules. Triangular blade, length 80 cm, engraved and gilded on its first third with trophies of arms and garlands of foliage on a blued background, engraved and gilded heel with trophies of arms and musical instruments. Red cloth knot.
Hallmarks: From right to left a salmon 1744-1749 confirmed by the forearm And all the way to the left the letter date, a crowned I so 1748.

Good condition, blade with oxidation from use, it has retained some of its colors. Without scabbard.
NOTE:
The style of this sword dates back to the 1740s, but it was so popular that it remained virtually unchanged until 1760 or even 1770.
