OFFICER'S INFANTRY DRESS BELT, 1848 model, Second half of the 19th century. Item number 26318

Made of black patent leather, H 4.5 cm, covered with a golden silver braid with three black silk stripes. Complete with its two saber straps and its rectangular brass plate with cut edges measuring 5 cm x 5.2 cm, adorned in the center with a silver metal motif depicting a rooster perched on two bundles of fasces, a triangle, crossed hands, and a ribbon bearing the inscription "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE" (French Republic).
