FIREFIGHTER'S "F.T.J." TROOP HELMET, type 1895, Third Republic. 24533
Helmet entirely made of brass. Crest with prominent moldings decorated at the front with a grenade, secured by an internal screw. Front plate in embossed brass depicting a shield with a pyre, surrounded by an oak branch and a laurel branch with a ribbon bearing the inscription "SAPEURS POMPIERS F.T.J." Tubular-shaped plume holder with a slightly tapered square section towards the bottom.

Very good condition, missing interior lining and chin strap.
