Gilt bronze hilt, guard with a smooth branch and a relief-decorated crosspiece with a medallion bearing the date "1593" (date of creation of the corps). Pommel decorated with fleur-de-lis and profiles of Henri IV, brass ferrules decorated with lines. Wood handle entirely filigreed in silver. Relief-cast quillon with the Arms of France on a background of banners with a border of foliage and fleur-de-lis. Triangular blade engraved and gilded on its first third with military trophies and floral decorations, length 83.5 cm. Black polished leather scabbard with two gilt bronze fittings decorated with dragon wings. Button of the chape decorated with a fleur-de-lis, scabbard tip with a gilt brass shoe.
