SWORD OF THE KING'S MUSKETEERS OF THE 2ND COMPANY (Black Musketeers), Ancient Monarchy type, late 19th century. Item no. 30087

Silver-plated metal hilt. Bivalve guard. Round pommel decorated with the Musketeers' Cross. Wooden handle entirely filigreed in silver. Double-edged blade with a flat central ridge, length 83.1 cm, engraved and gilded with floral and military motifs on the first third and the face of the sun on a blued background. Scarlet cloth knot. Black varnished leather scabbard with two silvered brass fittings, chape with a button decorated with the Musketeers' Cross.
