Fully blackened iron guard with a solid shell made of steel sheet. Wooden pommel cap covered with sheet metal and leather-covered grip. Straight blade with hollow edges, 66 cm long. Leather scabbard with two brass fittings, a chape with a loop, and a brass tip at the end of the scabbard.
Netherlands.
Mid-19th century.
Good condition, guard paint partially faded, grip later covered with black leather.
