LOT OF FOUR MINIATURE MEDALS FROM THE ITALIAN CAMPAIGN, created in 1859, Second Empire. 27005
Round-shaped in silver, depicting on the obverse the effigy of the emperor crowned with laurel, framed by the legend "NAPOLEON III EMPEROR" and bordered by a laurel wreath. On the reverse, inscription "CAMPAGNE D’ITALIE - 1859" surrounding the names of the battles "MONTEBELLO, PALESTRO, TURBIGO, MAGENTA, MARIGNAN, SOLFERINO."
Diameter of the medals 1.7 cm; 1.5 cm; 1.5 cm; 1.2 cm.
Three of them have the ribbon of the Italian campaign: silk ribbon alternating 6 vertical red stripes and 5 vertical white stripes, bordered by a white line. The fourth one has a double ribbon for the Italian campaign and the military medal.
