Colonel's full dress sabretache of the Chasseurs à Cheval of the Imperial Guard, model 1854, Second Empire. Inventory number 30372.
Leather sabretache, flap covered with green cloth and bordered by a double gold braid, inner braid 1 cm wide, outer braid 2.8 cm wide, and a third braid folded over the outer edge. Center decorated with a gilded brass plate stamped with the Grand Imperial Arms, height of the plate 17 cm, width 12 cm. Interior lining in green waxed leather with a pocket lined in green velvet. Height 29.5 cm (without the rings), width at the top 19.5 cm, and 24.5 cm at the bottom. Three suspension rings in silvered brass, rectangular in shape with rounded lateral edges.
