Of round shape, signed and dated on the left "Chapon 1823."
Watercolor and gouache: bust portrait of a bodyguard of the King in uniform, 1820 model, royal blue coat trimmed with scarlet, with shoulder board, shoulder knot, and aiguillettes, wearing the decorations of Saint-Louis, the Lily, and the Legion of Honor.
View diameter 6.4 cm. Framed with a gilded brass ring, diameter 7.1 cm.

In very good condition, it comes with a wooden cup frame and its brass ring.
