Pommel shaped like an olive topped with an acorn, the front adorned with an N on a background of a radiant sun and the back with the imperial crown on a background of a radiant sun. Crosspiece with rings decorated with an imperial eagle, black horn grip filigreed with brass, framed at the top and bottom by two ferrules decorated with a series of flowers. The guard plate folds inward, the front guard plate stamped "143". Double quillon in the shape of a palmette.
