Cardboard body covered with black silk fabric, H 23 cm, bordered with a 3 cm lizard-woven gold braid at the top and a 3.5 cm black velvet bourdalou. Black waxed cap diameter 21 cm. Visor in waxed leather, black on the outside and green on the inside, 6.5 cm.
Metal cockade stamped in relief with a tricolor lacquered radiant sun, diameter 7 cm. Gilt brass plate model 1830, stamped in relief of a rooster surrounded by an oak branch and a laurel branch against a background of radiant sun, the rooster is placed on a shield whose center is decorated with a crown of oak leaves against a background of a bundle of flags, in the center of which the number “43” is cut out. H of the plate 13.5 cm, width 11 cm.
Chinstraps composed of a leather chin strap covered in black velvet and covered with a series of thirteen stamped gilded brass scales cut into four festoons; and a round rosette stamped in its center with a star on a sandblasted background, bordered by a protruding molding (diameter 4 cm). Chinstrap length 21.5 cm.
Inner headdress in black waxed sheepskin cut into seven wolf teeth. Flame pompom in scarlet wool, diameter of the pompom 6.5 cm, total height with the flame 18 cm.
