Obverse: A rooster with spread wings in front of which is the coat of arms of the city of Nice. Around it is inscribed the celebrated event "CENTENARY OF THE ANNEXATION OF NICE TO FRANCE 1860-1960". Below the rooster is the signature of the engraver Raymond Joly.
Reverse: A woman with a laurel wreath around her head receives a bouquet from a child. Around it is inscribed the celebrated event "CENTENARY OF THE ANNEXATION OF SAVOY TO FRANCE 1860-1960". Below the elbow of the laurel-crowned woman is the signature of the engraver Raymond Joly.
