OFFICER'S SWORD, First Empire.
Gilt bronze hilt. Keyboard in the shape of a shield cast in relief with a military trophy. Guard branch with head of the Nemean lion. Pommel decorated with acanthus leaves and wings. Ebony grip with four sides, the front and back sides are finely grooved and bordered with brass moldings. The two lateral faces are sculpted with protruding moldings. Ferrule stamped with fleur-de-lis. Blade engraved, blued and gilt with military trophies and floral decorations on a blued background, length 83.7 cm. Scarlet cloth knot. Black varnished leather scabbard with two gilt brass fittings, tip with button for belt carrying decorated with foliage.

Good condition, hilt ungilted, blade recolored later, leather of the scabbard replaced later.

Items can be returned within 8 days of receipt. They must be returned by registered mail at the sender's expense, in their original packaging, and in their original condition.
