Reverse: Oak wreath with the recipient's name engraved (LE BOURGET); around the wreath, the date "MAY 25, 1873" and the occasion for which the medal was awarded: "FIRE PUMP AND MARCHING BAND MANEUVERS CONTEST." Signed at the bottom by DESAIDE.
