SILVER-HILTED OFFICER'S SWORD, Ancient Monarchy, Reign of Louis XVI, circa 1775-1780. 24202
Hilt entirely in silver. Guard with ring decorations adorned with geometric designs, stars, and flowers. Oval pommel decorated with military trophies. Handle featuring military trophies, geometric designs, and stars. Ribbed ferrules. Crosspiece with rings, decorated with military trophies. Similarly decorated hinged clamshell guard with military trophies. Triangular white blade, 78.1 cm long, engraved on its first third with a military trophy, floral decoration, an Indian, and signed "Paris."

Very good condition for the hilt, blade in good condition, rubbed at the base with signs of oxidation, no scabbard.
