Gilt brass base with a central motif in relief of a sword of justice topped with a Phrygian cap, all in silver-plated copper featuring: on the left, an oval medallion depicting the Tablets of the Law with the inscription "RIGHTS OF MAN," topped by a civic crown; on the right, an oval medallion struck with a bundle of fasces and the inscription "OUR UNION MAKES OUR STRENGTH," also topped with a civic crown. This decoration is set against a background of flags, cannons, cannonballs, drums, and powder barrels. It is surmounted by a ribbon bearing the inscription "FRENCH REPUBLIC" in its upper part.
