OFFICER'S COLLAR FOR INFANTRY OR THE NATIONAL GUARD, model 1792, Revolution.
Gilt brass base with a central motif in relief of a sword of justice topped with a Phrygian cap, all in silver-plated copper featuring: on the left, an oval medallion depicting the Tablets of the Law with the inscription "RIGHTS OF MAN," topped by a civic crown; on the right, an oval medallion struck with a bundle of fasces and the inscription "OUR UNION MAKES OUR STRENGTH," also topped with a civic crown. This decoration is set against a background of flags, cannons, cannonballs, drums, and powder barrels. It is surmounted by a ribbon bearing the inscription "FRENCH REPUBLIC" in its upper part.

Good condition, wear to the gilt on the base, missing parts on the central motif at the flag points and at the end of the cannon, one fixing rivet missing.
