FOOT ARTILLERY SABER, Model 1830, derived from the 1816 model, July Monarchy.
Roman-style hilt (15 cm in H) in solid brass with symmetrical crossguard decorated with a palmette and gadroons and a grip adorned with 18 rows of scales. Strong pommel embossed with a Gallic rooster on each side. Blade (45.8 cm long, 4.2 cm wide at the base) symmetrical with double-edged hollowed out with three hollow facets on each side.
1816 model scabbard in blackened leather with two brass fittings, throat with a loop designed to receive a buffalo leather strap.

In good condition, hilt in very good condition, blade rusted and slightly shortened, scabbard in fairly good condition with some chipping.
