Black waxed leather sabretache. Back of the flap heat-stamped with the date 1855 and the initials "RDG" (Regiment des Guides) and heat-stamped with the number "1489". Interior pocket lined with brown canvas (H 24.7 cm, 17.5 cm wide at the top and 22.4 cm at the bottom). Flap covered with dark green cloth with a yellow-tinted buffalo jaceron sewn over the outer edge. Frame braid in yellow-gold woven wool, width 3 cm. A relief-stamped brass plate with the Grandes Armes Impériales is fixed in the center by means of a lace (H 17.3 cm, width 13 cm). Complete with its three suspension rings on the rounded top edge.
Height of the sabretache 30.5 cm, width at the top 19 cm, width at the bottom 25.3 cm.
Comes with three half-spherical brass suspension rings.
