During the July Revolution of 1789. Place of publication unknown, date unknown (Paris, Girard, 1790). Folio, boards; red marbled spine and corners, gilt top edge, uncut (bound by Lemardeley).
A work of great rarity, illustrated with 60 finely engraved plates colored with watercolor and gouache with gold and silver highlights attributed to MOREAU LE JEUNE, depicting the flags of the ten battalions of each of the six divisions of the National Guard, with the name of the battalion commander and the names of the flag donors. Flags are depicted with a National Guard member holding the staff.
Uncut copy, mounted on tabs, containing the titles of five installments (missing the first installment title) and the final warning leaf, regarding the publication date, for four installments. Complete with the engraved table leaf, bound at the beginning of the volume. Repair to 2 printed leaves; the flag of St. Louis de la Culture remains blank.
