GENERAL LIEUTENANT'S SASH, July Monarchy.
Made of spun gold thread and sky blue silk (featuring six unadulterated gold bands and five bands of silk and gold, all equal in width and arranged alternately in the lengthwise direction). At the ends, two trapezoidal tassels are sewn: the heads covered with gold cannetille applied in a checkerboard pattern, in "point suivi" matte stitch, slightly bulging on both sides, bearing two silver stars affixed. The edges and long fringe skirts are in thick matte twist.
France.
July Monarchy.
Very good condition.
NOTE:
The title of lieutenant-general was once again used instead of "major general," and of marshall of camp instead of "brigadier general" under the Restoration and the July Monarchy, disappearing definitively in 1848.
