INFANTRY OFFICER'S SERVICE SWORD, model 1816 modified 1830, July Monarchy.
Brass hilt, guard with facets, double shell in a keyboard shape, originally convex and decorated with a large fleur-de-lys on the outer side, removed in 1830, then concave and raised on the counter-guard side. Spherical pommel screwed onto the tang. Grip in wood entirely filigreed with gilded brass.
Straight blade with grooves, length 80.9 cm, signed "Klingenthal" "Dirr à Andlau".
Black varnished leather scabbard with two brass fittings.
