French model with a guard featuring a single branch decorated with a radiant sun. Pommel shaped like an olive topped with an acorn, the front adorned with an "N" on a radiant sun background, and the back with an imperial crown on a radiant sun background. Croix-de-fer decorated with an imperial eagle, black horn grip filigreed with brass and framed at the top and bottom by two ferrules decorated with a series of flowers. The guard plate folds on the inner part, with the front guard plate marked with "181". Double quillon in the shape of a palmette.
Triangular blade signed at the base "COULAUX ET CIE A KLINGENTHAL," 80.7 cm in length. Scarlet woolen tie.
Black varnished leather scabbard with two brass fittings, chape button for wearing on the belt.
