Counter-epaulette and epaulet in silver trimmings, with soft fringes called “well ropes”, body of the epaulette trimmed with a scarlet silk stripe lined with dark blue, almost black cloth with silver-plated brass hook and button of uniform small half-bell module in silver metal with five-pointed star and inscription “PRISON ADMINISTRATION” stamped in relief, diameter 1.7 cm.
Presented in a natural wooden carrying box with lid bearing the inscription in pen “M. BOURDIER / RIGHT-FRINGED EPAULETTE”.
