Gilt and chiseled bronze eagle with outspread wings holding the lightning bolt of Jupiter in its talons.
Height 17 cm, width 12.5 cm, thickness 3.3 cm.
Resting on a box decorated with the number "2" on the front on a sandblasted background.
Box height 3.7 cm, max width 8.3 cm, thickness 3.7 cm.
The box is mounted on a socket.
Height 5.3 cm, Ø at its center 2.5 cm, Ø at its base 2.9 cm.

Perfect condition, eagle retaining all of its gilding.
NOTE:
This eagle comes from the former Bernard Franck collection, 1935. This model of eagle is not regulatory, but its quality of chiseling, mounting, and gilding allow it to be attributed to the time of the First Empire. Being of small size, it could be attributed to the 2nd squadron of a city honor guard, much like there were many under the First Empire.
