COURT SWORD IN PIERCED BRONZE, LATE 18th CENTURY.
Gilt bronze hilt. Single-branch guard. Smooth hilt with ridges. Oval-shaped pommel. Double-shell hilt guard. Elaborately decorated with filigree silver and gilt brass wooden grip. Twisted silver ferrules. Triangular blade, length 77.5 cm, engraved with military trophies, floral motifs, and arrows, with a gold and blued background on the first third. Scarlet wool sash. Black varnished leather scabbard with two gilt metal fittings, early 19th century.
