Chromium-plated steel helmet.
Chromium-plated steel visor and neck guard edged with gilded brass.
Gilded brass front band stamped with a flaming bomb framed by two laurel branches.
Gilded brass crest composed of two fins stamped with a series of diminishing gadroons towards the rear, each attached to the bomb by four screws, and a mask decorated with a head of Medusa at the top and a palmette at the bottom. The crest is adorned with a 70 cm long black mane, a relief-stamped covering plate of Medusa's hair, and a gilded brass crest ornament with scarlet horsehair plume.
Gilded brass plume holder.
Leather jugulars covered with black velvet and adorned with stamped scales in the shape of laurel leaves.
Round rosettes decorated with laurel leaves, attached to the helmet by a lock.
Poor condition, the steel parts are oxidized, the covering plate of the crest is complete but detached, the jugulars are in poor condition, missing inner liner.
