JUSTICE OF THE PEACE INSIGNIA, REVOLUTION.
Made of gilded copper, oval-shaped and single-sided. The outer border of the insignia is guilloché, while the central part is enamelled in national blue with the inscription "THE LAW AND PEACE" in silver letters at the center, topped with an orange enameled Phrygian cap, all surrounded by a crown of raised scarlet enamel pearls. The reverse side consists of a iron counter plate secured by the outer border, with four rings welded to it for attaching the ribbon. Original ribbon, scarlet with blue and white edges.
46 mm x 38 mm.
Good condition, gold oxidation on the outer border, minor damage to the blue enamel, two scarlet enamel pearls missing; ribbon somewhat faded.
