Brass visor with a nickel silver rim folded over the outer edge. The interior of the visor is lined with green waxed leather.
The neck guard, also made of brass, is concave, forming a collar with rounded angles and soldered edges inside. It features two nickel silver half-sphere-headed nails (8 mm in diameter) riveted on the inside, similar to those on the visor but lined with ochre leather.
An ornamental band, made of nickel silver, stamped with a flaming grenade surrounded by laurel leaves, is attached to the shell.
Each chinstrap is composed of 10 stamped nickel silver scales cut in the shape of laurel leaves, decreasing in width from 3.5 cm at the top scale to 2 cm at the bottom scale.
The right chinstrap is adorned at its end with a small nickel silver buckle. The end of the left chinstrap is decorated with a black varnished calf leather tab.
The top scale of each chinstrap is embossed at its end with a circular rosette (5 cm in diameter) depicting a lion's head framed by three ribbons, with the central one decorated alternately with pearls and bars.
The helmet shell is topped with a reconstructed nickel silver crest composed of two fins and a mask also made of nickel silver.
The fins have a convex curved triangular shape at the top and connect to the shell with a concave base forming a scalloped edge.
The fins are adorned with acanthus leaves, palmettes, and a molding representing two laurel branches with a palmette in the center; the edge is decorated with water lilies and attached to the shell with two relief-stamped screws.
The mask is embossed with a relief image of Medusa's head.

Interior fittings include a turban and a cap.
The cap is made of varnished brown leather with gilded edges, cut into seven scallops, each adorned with a metal eyelet.
