DRESS COAT OF A LIEUTENANT GENERAL, MONARCHY OF JULY.
Coat made of dark blue almost black satin cloth, closed on the chest by a row of nine large 1830 military buttons (half-rounded, gold with a matte and burnished finish, embossed with the emblem of the Gallic rooster on a background of flags) with a diameter of 2.5 cm.
The collar is made of dark blue satin cloth, 6.5 cm high, and rounded at the front. The sleeves end with a straight cuff 5.5 cm in height, made of the same cloth as the coat.
The epaulet straps are made of golden cords, braids, and sequins (length 8.5 cm, width 1.7 cm). At the bottom of the back, a series of oak and laurel branches are embroidered with two military buttons.
False pockets are located higher up and adorned with three military buttons each. At the bottom of each basque fold, an embroidered gold insignia on blue cloth is attached, depicting a winged lightning bolt of the general staff, embroidery height 9 cm, width 5 cm.
The inner lining is ivory canvas with an internal leather belt in ochre.

NOTE:
The title of lieutenant-general was reintroduced instead of "major general," and of divisional general in place of "brigade general" during the Restoration and the Monarchy of July, and disappeared definitively in 1848.
