The visor is waxed green on the inside and edged with a silver-plated copper strip folded over the outer border (width 8 mm) and fixed with four small silver nails. The width of the visor is 5.5 cm, and the width of the neck guard is approximately 3.5 cm.
All fittings on the helmet are silver-plated copper.
The front plate is embossed with a radiant sun featuring the face of the sun framed by two interlaced Ls topped with the royal crown, with a decorative cloud motif at the bottom carrying the inscription "NEC PLURIBUS IMPAR" (Superior to all: Louis XIV's motto). The height of the plate is 16.5 cm, and the width is approximately 32 cm. It is attached on each side at the level of the cheek pieces and at the top with a hook to secure the cheek pieces. The back band forms a point in the center, decorated with two branches of foliage with a central flower, and bordered at the top and bottom with prominent mouldings. On each side of the helmet, a palm with two branches curling forward is attached (decision of January 16, 1815).
The crest consists of a mask and two fins. All three parts are embossed with a series of feathers decreasing towards the back, with the upper part cut into festoons. At the bottom, the decoration features a series of acanthus leaves, with the lower end folded outward, cut into festoons, and fixed to the helmet with four brass screws per fin.
The plume holder is made of silver-plated brass, with a slightly tapered tubular section towards the bottom.
The chin straps consist of a chin piece and a rosette: the chin piece is covered in black velvet and decorated with scales cut alternately into four or three festoons with chiseled edges. The chin pieces are finished with a black lace (replaced at a later date). The length of the chin pieces is approximately 16 cm, the maximum width is 5.4 cm, and the minimum width is around 1.6 cm. The rosettes are embossed with a radiant sun, with a height of 6.5 cm and a width of 7.8 cm, featuring a finely embossed sun face at the center, soldered to a clip that goes through the rosette, chin piece, and helmet. The height of the face is 2 cm, and the width is 2.6 cm.
The crimson horsehair mane is mounted on a leather sole and cut in a brush shape, approximately 6 cm high. The front tip extends about 6 cm, and the rear height is approximately 3.5 cm.
The inner lining consists of a waxed leather headband topped with black silk.
