CUERA DE CUIRASSIER OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, model 1854, Second Empire. 16037
Steel cuirass consisting of a backplate and a breastplate similarly marked on the outer edges "42" (it had been marked twice before). Breastplate edged with 21 brass nails, marked on the inside (markings difficult to read).
Backplate edged with 39 brass nails, adorned at the top with two leather straps covered with an intertwined brass mesh chain with a steel lock, and at the bottom with a black leather belt. Backplate similarly marked as the breastplate (markings difficult to read).
Very good condition.
