PISTOL OF THE KING'S BODYGUARD, MILITARY HOUSE, first model, 1814-1816, FIRST RESTORATION MODIFIED TO PERCUSSION.
Twisted barrels, following the An IX model, gilt thunder motifs with the Alphand stamp, blued along their entire length and marked in gold letters: "King's Bodyguard". Caliber 17 mm. Barrel length 20.5 cm, with the breech 25.4 cm, total length 35.7 cm.
Lock plates of the An XIII cavalry model with slight bevel at the battery, stamped: crowned "B" of Daniel Bouissavy and signed: "Maubeuge Manuf Rle", guilloché screws. Modified to percussion.
Stock with a very sloping grip ending in a straight bulge topped with a cap.
Brass fittings, trigger guard ending in a fleur-de-lis, elliptical shaped pommel cast in relief with the Arms of France.
Iron ramrods.
Good condition, bluing and gilding on the barrel are in very good condition.
