OFFICER'S INFANTRY SWORD, MODEL 1855, SECOND EMPIRE.
Brass hilt with a projecting shell guard forming a bowl whose guard branch is hollowed out and equipped with an eyelet for the sword knot, with openwork floral decoration. Cap with a short tail. Wooden handle (filigree replaced). Straight blade with hollow edges, not signed, length 76 cm. Steel scabbard with two suspension rings.
Poor condition, blade and scabbard heavily rusted.
