INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD, MODEL 1855, SECOND EMPIRE.
Gilded brass hilt. Guard with projecting shell forming a shell, the guard branch is hollowed out and equipped with an eyelet for the sword knot, with openwork floral decoration. Cap with short tail. Filigree horn handle, missing the filigree. Straight blade with hollowed edges, not signed, length 76.2 cm. Scarlet cloth knot. Steel scabbard with two suspension rings.
Fair condition, hilt gilding worn off, missing filigree, scabbard with slight surface oxidation.
